Before Spyro can start tracking your AI citations and generating content, you need to create an account, activate your free trial, and complete a few one-time configuration steps. This page covers everything from signing up to securing your account — so you can move on to the parts that actually grow your visibility.

Creating Your Account

Go to spyro.app/signup and choose one of two sign-up methods:
  • Email and password — Enter your work email and choose a strong password. Spyro will send a confirmation link to verify your address.
  • Google OAuth — Click Continue with Google to authenticate instantly with your Google account. No separate password needed.
Both methods give you identical access to every feature. If you use Google OAuth, your account is secured by your Google credentials and two-factor authentication settings at the Google level.
Your 3-day free trial begins the moment you create your account. The trial includes up to 3 blog article generations at no cost so you can experience the full content pipeline. Your trial does not auto-charge — when it ends, your account moves to a read-only state and no payment is taken until you actively choose to upgrade. Your data is preserved if you upgrade later.

Setting Up Your Account and Workspace

1

Verify Your Email Address

After signing up with email and password, check your inbox for a verification email from hello@spyro.app and click the confirmation link. Google OAuth accounts are verified automatically. You must verify your email before Spyro can run your initial site audit or send you citation reports.
2

Add Your Domain

When you first log in, Spyro prompts you to create a workspace. Enter your full domain URL — for example, https://yourcompany.com — and give the workspace a recognizable name.A workspace is Spyro’s container for a single website. All citation data, competitor tracking, content queues, and CMS connections are scoped to the workspace they belong to.Your Pro plan includes up to 2 workspaces, which means you can monitor two separate domains from one account — ideal if you run multiple brands or manage a small number of client sites.
Each workspace runs its own independent audit, citation tracking, and content pipeline. Switching between workspaces takes one click from the top navigation bar.
3

Connect Google Search Console

Connecting Google Search Console gives Spyro access to your real organic search performance data. Spyro uses this to cross-reference your traditional SEO signals with your AI citation data, giving you a more complete picture of your content gaps.To connect:
  1. Go to Settings → Integrations inside your workspace.
  2. Click Connect next to Google Search Console.
  3. Authenticate with the Google account that has access to your Search Console property.
  4. Select the property that matches your workspace domain and click Confirm.
If your domain isn’t verified in Google Search Console yet, you can skip this step for now and come back later. Spyro’s AI citation tracking works independently of Search Console — the connection is optional but recommended.
4

Set Your Target Keywords and Competitors

Spyro automatically infers your niche and an initial competitor list from your domain during the first audit. After the audit completes, you can refine both.Navigate to Workspace Settings → Targeting to:
  • Add or remove target keywords — the topics you most want to earn AI citations for
  • Edit your competitor list — the domains Spyro benchmarks your citation rate against
  • Set your content language and region if you target a specific locale
The topical map Spyro builds for your content calendar is generated from these inputs, so spending a few minutes here pays off across every article Spyro writes for you.
